Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College offers Post Graduate Programme in Kayachikitsa. Admission to the course is through Common Entrance Examinations conducted by the Government of Kerala. The Post Graduate Degree programme is in accordance with national unified syllabus of the Central Council of Indian Medicine. The academic affiliation and award of degree are entrusted with Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. The academic programme is regulated by the norms fixed by the National Council for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
The number of seats available for PG Kayachikitsa are 5 students per year.
Candidates must possess BAMS (Ayurvedaachaarya) or equivalent Degree from recognised University with 55% marks.
The student shall have to undergo a study for a period of three years after the admission, out of which first year shall be devoted to preliminary course and following two years for Kayachikitsa.
The candidate shall be awarded Ayurveda Vachaspati (MD Ayurveda) degree after completion of prescribed courses of study extending over the prescribed period and passing the final examination.
